NME Awards USA

The first ever NME Awards USA took place on the evening of 23 April 2008 at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.

Arctic Monkeys were awarded the Best International Alternative/Indie album, chosen by public vote, which was collected on their behalf by Klaxons.

Mick Jones, guitarist with The Clash, was awarded the Inspiration Award for his services to the music industry.
