Dario Marianelli wins Oscar
Award-laden composer Dario Marianelli came out on top yet again at the Oscars ceremony held on Sunday 24 February 2008, scooping the award for best film score for his work on the film Atonement.
The PRS member, previously Oscar-nominated in 2005 for scoring Pride and Prejudice, picked up the prize at a ceremony at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
The Oscar adds to Marianelli's collection of gongs received for his Atonement score which include a Golden Globe and an International Film Music Critics award.
