MCPS-PRS Alliance announces new Chief Executive

The MCPS-PRS Alliance today announces that its current Managing Director of three years, Steve Porter, is promoted to Chief Executive with immediate effect. The appointment was unanimously confirmed by the MCPS and PRS Boards yesterday.

The appointment follows an exhaustive recruitment process in which over 200 applicants from a wide range of industries were considered for the role.
Steve has extensive knowledge of the worldwide business of music rights management – particularly in relation to online business models.

Prior to joining the Music Alliance in 1999, Steve held senior management roles in the record industry and with Price Waterhouse in London.
