Lloyd-Webber to be honoured at Classical Brits

Andrew Lloyd-Webber is to receive the lifetime achievement award at the 2008 Classical Brits which are to be held at London's Royal Albert Hall on 8 May 2008 and hosted by PRS member Myleene Klass.

The award comes almost 25 years after Lord Lloyd-Webber picked up a Grammy for best contemporary classical composition with his Requiem Mass.

News of the honour was revealed as nominations for the Classical Brit Awards were announced on 8 April 2008.
