Lily postpones US tour
PRS member Lily Allen has postponed her May-June US tour saying she is tired and wants to focus working on her second album.
Allen announced the news on her MySpace blog yesterday saying that after touring for more than a year, she is 'tired', and has recently become ‘so nervous about performing bad shows’.
She joked saying that being famous required more effort than expected; ‘I thought that being a pop star meant going out getting trashed with famous people and sleeping in all day.’
‘The fact that this is not true has come as a huge disappointment to me and as a result I am throwing the towel in.’
She will still perform at the Coachella and Bonaroo festivals and is scheduled to perform on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on April 18 2007.
A spokesperson for Allen said that the US dates will be rescheduled for later this year.
