Later... to be given prime time slot on BBC2

Later... With Jools Holland is due to kick off a new series on 1 April 2008 in a different format to previous series.

The show, newly dubbed Later Live... With Jools Holland will air live on BBC2 in a prime time half-hour slot on Tuesday evenings whilst a full-length, extended version of the show will still be shown on Friday nights under the original name of Later... With Jools Holland.

Adele, whose first performance on the show in the last series helped to propel her into the public consciousness, is due to perform on the 1 April 2008 series-opener.
