Kinks shrine to stay

The Kinks shrine currently displayed in The Clissold Arms in Muswell Hill, London will not be auctioned off despite reports to the contrary.

The Clissold Arms hosted The Kinks' first live performances and a corner of the pub is decorated with memorabilia of the band including photos, records and plaques.

It was feared that 'The Kinks Corner' would be removed due to a refurbishment of the pub by new owners.

'The Kinks Corner' will be available to view when the pub reopens this summer.
