Johnny Marr claims US number one

Ex-Smith's guitarist Johnny Marr is celebrating success after US band, Modest Mouse, scored a number one album on the US Billboard charts.

Marr joined the indie band in 2006 as their guitarist and has written the songs for their latest album with lead singer Isaac Brock.

We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank is the band's first release with Marr in the line-up.
