Have you scored an Ivor winner?
The British Academy of Composers & Songwriters is inviting entries for the 2007 Ivor Novello Awards, which are sponsored by PRS.
Publishers, agents and composers can submit work for the two song categories - Best Song Musically and Lyrically, and Best Contemporary Song, and also for Best Original Film Score and Best Television Soundtrack. Any British or Irish composer who has written a score for a film that has had a UK theatrical release in the year ending 31 December 2006 is eligible. Similarly, any soundtrack for a television programme that has been broadcast in the UK during the same period may be entered.
Collaborative work can be entered in any of the categories, providing there is a minimum one-third British or Irish interest.
The Academy has researched all the eligible scores for films released in 2006. This information can be found in the news section of the Academy's website, where films are listed alphabetically.
If you think your score might be eligible for the Ivors, simply check your name against the list. You will also find full details of how to enter.
