Glasto organisers brace themselves for heat wave
Early meteorological predictions suggest that the 2008 Glastonbury festival could yet again be the victim of the forces of nature.
However, instead of the usual quagmire resulting from incessant rainfall, it is being suggested that this year’s event could fall prey to that rarest of visitors to Worthy farm - glorious sunshine.
As a result of these predictions, Glastonbury organisers are taking precautions including lining up ice sellers, hosepipes, suncream vendors and even a fleet of bowser tanks which could regularly pump water over the ground so as to avoid excessive dust being generated by festival-goers.
