Five pairs of free tickets for a songwriting masterclass with Don Black are available exclusively to members of PRS for Music.
Oscar Award-winning and world famous lyricist Don Black will be joining Radio 2’s Great British Songbook at the BBC's Electric Proms for the special event on Friday 23 October at London’s Roundhouse.
Don Black will talk about his incredible career and the inspiration behind classics such as Diamonds are Forever and Michael Jackson’s hit song Ben. He’ll be joined by West End star Marti Webb who will sing some of Don’s most-loved songs. There’ll also be an opportunity for members of the audience to ask Don questions about his life and career.
To win one of the five pairs of tickets email magazine@prsformusic.com with ‘Masterclass’ in the subject field and your name, address and CAE number in the body of the email. The closing date is midnight on Monday 19 October and we’ll contact you on Tuesday 20 October if you have been successful. Please note this will be an afternoon event with a start time of 3pm.
Terms and Conditions:
1. Tickets are free and cannot be sold.
2. You must make your own way to and from the event. Travel to the event, any accommodation and any other cost will be solely at the entrant’s expense and the BBC will not reimburse you for any such costs.
3. You must be aged over 16
4. Proof of age, identity and eligibility may be requested.
5. All audience members will be asked to arrive no later than 14:00 on Friday 23rd October 2009.
6. Entrance is subject to capacity. The BBC reserves the right to refuse admission.
7. The BBC reserves the right to cancel this event and ticket process at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside its control.
8. Should the event be cancelled or line-up changed, The BBC is not liable for any loss of money and expense incurred in travelling to the venue.
9. The BBC may record and film the performance, by accepting tickets; applicants agree to such recording being broadcast, should BBC Radio 2, at its own discretion, decide to do so.
10. The BBC, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with the Internet or otherwise which may result in any application being lost or not properly registered.
11. The BBC will only ever use personal details for the purposes of administering this ticket allocation, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without permission.
