Estelle's American Boy tops the charts

Estelle has hit the number one spot in the UK singles chart with her latest release American Boy, edging Duffy's Mercy into the number two position.

The single is a collaboration with US rapper Kanye West and is the first release from the London songstress's upcoming album Shine.

Estelle originally made her name in 2004 and 2005 with hits such as 1980, Free and Go Gone.
