Epic return for Sony BMG

Sony BMG has announced the return of its Epic Label with immediate effect.

The label will be once again headed by managing director Nick Raphael, who will bring his White Rabbit label artists to Epic; including Lemar and Imogen Heap.

Raphael has promised that unlike sister labels RCA and Columbia, Epic will not be restricted by genre and will sign a variety of artists.

The decision to resurrect Epic puts Sony BMG's UK division in-line with the US, where Epic has been active since 1953.
