EMI launch new online store with VisitBritain
EMI and tourism body Visit Britain are giving UK tourists the opportunity to create their own personal soundtracks at a new online store.
The partnership hopes to inspire potential visitors to the UK by promoting new music and the legacy of famous British artists.
The VisitBritain website will target tourists by offering 140,000 tracks from their music catalogue featuring artists such as the Rolling Stones for London and the Beatles for Liverpool.
The website will also feature a BritainRocks! map highlighting festivals, artists birthplace, venues where bands first played and places featured on album covers to raise the profile of individual cities.
