DRM-free iTunes Plus goes live

Apple today introduced its DRM-free music downloads to the iTunes service, called iTunes Plus.

The iTunes Plus tracks cost around 20p and can be played on iPod’s and other digital music players, as well as an unlimited number of computers.

This afternoon EMI will add its entire catalogue in the new DRM-free format to iTunes Plus.
