Craig David to receive honorary degree

Craig David will be given an honorary degree in recognition of his contribution to the UK music industry.

The UK garage and R&B star is to be made a Doctor of Music by the Southampton Solent University during a ceremony on 7 November 2008.

Southampton-born David is due to release his Greatest Hits collection on 24 November 2008.
