Cowell's contenders set for single success

Simon Cowell's X Factor juggernaut has been tipped for success in this weekend's singles charts.

A version of Mariah Carey's track Hero, as performed by the twelve X Factor finalists, is expected to be the fastest selling single of 2008 when the official charts are published on Sunday 2 November.

Proceeds from the single will be donated to Help for Heroes, a charity that provides support for wounded servicemen and women.
