North American dates annouced by Coldplay

Coldplay have announced details for their upcoming North American tour in support of their fourth studio album Viva La Vida.

The band's lengthy tour is to commence in New York's Madison Square Garden on 23 June 2008 and is to take in such cities as Detroit, Las Vegas, Chicago and Toronto before drawing to a close in Salt Lake City on 22 November 2008.

Further dates may yet be added to the schedule with the tour expected to continue into 2009.
