Coldplay take world's best selling album

Grammy-winning Coldplay can add 'best-selling album of 2008 globally' to their achievements.

Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends sold 6.8 million copies according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.

British artists put in a strong performance, with Duffy, Leona Lewis and Amy Winehouse joining Coldplay in the top ten.
