Jarvis Cocker to give talk on lyrics

Jarvis Cocker will be giving a talk named 'Do song lyrics matter?' at Brighton's Dome theatre as part of the annual Brighton festival on 23 May 2008.

The former Pulp man, who has himself admitted to being a novice lyricist, will be speaking about which particular lyrics should be avoided when writing a song.

Cocker recently revealed that the lyrics of nine of the songs on Pulp's hit album Different Class were written in one drunken evening in his sister's kitchen.
