British singer-songwriters perform at SXSW

Kate Nash and Laura Marling have been wooing crowds at SXSW in Austin, USA.

Nash aired some new material at a surprise gig at the Driskill Hotel as well as performing her breakthrough hit Foundations.

Marling, who appeared with a drummer-cum-ukelele player and a violinist at a show in the gardens of the French Legation Museum, charmed spectators with a selection of songs from her debut album Alas, I Cannot Swim.
