Arctic MonkeysBiggest Glastonbury Ever

The Glastonbury Festival has been granted a four-year licence for a site capacity of 177,500.

Mendip District Council has approved 27,500 extra tickets for this year's festival making it the biggest Glastonbury in history.

This marks the largest license granted in the UK and will feature performances from the Arctic Monkeys, the Kaiser Chiefs, the Who and Kasabian.

Tickets for the festival are due to go on sale Sunday 1st April 2007.
