The 2007 New Year Honours list included several members: Evelyn Glennie becomes a Dame, John Rutter was awarded a CBE, George Shearing added a KBE to his OBE, Guy Wolfenden received an OBE and Shirley Collins and Archie Fisher both received MBEs. Bono received an honorary knighthood in recognition of his work as a musician and poverty campaigner.
