Astley picks up MTV gong

Rick Astley has been named Best Act Ever at the MTV Europe Awards held in Liverpool on 6 November 2008.

The singer has recently undergone a revival thanks to an internet craze called Rickrolling.

Rickrolling is when seemingly valid links are posted on the internet which divert to a YouTube clip of the video to Astley's 1987 hit Never Going To Give You Up.
