A.R. Rahman to found Indian orchestra

Indian music pioneer A.R. Rahman is planning to start up the first ever orchestra of Indian musicians.

His first step to achieving his orchestral vision has been to set up the KM Music Conservatory which is hoped will bring together traditional music with the new musical technology of which Rahman has for a long time been a firm advocate.

In the long term Rahman envisages that orchestral music will provide the soundtrack to many a Bollywood film.
