AIM focuses on digital
The MCPS-PRS Alliance team attended the Association of Independent Music's (AIM) Connected digital music convention yesterday to demonstrate how we are proactively licensing writer and publisher copyrights for online.
The convention also heard how the independent labels sector is gearing up for online by pressing ahead with its digital licensing project, Merlin. CEO of the new agency, Charles Caldas, who officially starts in the job next week, told a packed room at the Camden Centre in King’s Cross that Merlin will ensure the independent labels sector gets 'recompense' for the copyrights it owns on existing and new digital services.
