BBC Blast and BAFTA have teamed up to create an exciting opportunity for young composers looking to get into television. Eight young people looking to become either a composer, director of photography, editor or scriptwriter will receive a £3,000 budget and support from a BAFTA award-winning mentor and leading industry professionals to create a new and original piece of work.
The scheme will enable 16-19 year old composers to hone their skills over a period of six months. Other roles in television also in the scheme are Director of Photography, Editor and Scriptwriter.
Finally, four of the bursary recipients will also walk the red carpet at the British Academy Television Craft Awards in 2010, where one of them will win the special ‘Screen-Skills Award’!
Deadline for entry is Wednesday 7 October
