PRS sponsoring Songbook TV series on Sky Arts

PRS is sponsoring a new TV series Songbook which is currently being aired on the Sky Arts channel.

The series, which is presented by journalist and author Will Hodgkinson, features an interview with a different songwriter in each episode and attempts to gain an insight into their songwriting processes and what gives them their musical inspiration.

The series debuted on 1 May 2008 with Phil Collins and is set to run until 19 June when Ian McCulloch will be the featured songwriter on the show.  Other writers to be interviewed throughout the series include Fran Healy of Travis, David Gray and Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze.
