Song Tank Launch
Song Tank, the professional online music community, held their official launch event on Wednesday 28 November in association with PRS.
The launch took place at Chinawhite in London's West End and was attended by an audience of music industry professionals.
Following introductions from Song Tank founders, Ryan Lee and Tim Laws, and PRS Membership Development Director, Myles Keller, there was a showcase of six artists.
First up was Adam Argyle, performing his songs First Last Chance and Frozen.
Adam first signed a publishing deal aged sixteen and has recently written songs for Melanie C and Newton Faulkner. He's currently working on his own album after signing with Geffin records last November.
Next on stage was New York based, Sam Reynolds, in London on his first working trip to the UK. Twenty year old Sam performed two of his songs before handing over to the legendary Earl Oakin. Oakin, who's been performing since the 60s, captivated the audience first with his wit and then with two beautifully crafted pop songs.
Nashville based producer and songwriter, Michael Garvin, was up next. Garvin,
who has written over forty chart singles, performed two of his best selling hits: George Benson's Never Give Up On A Good Thing and J-Lo's Waiting For Tonight. The next performer was Pam Sheyne, singing the hit that Christina Aguilera made a number one in nearly thirty countries, Genie In A Bottle.
The final performance was Flying Without Wings, which was delivered courtesy of songwriting duo, Wayne Hector and Steve Mac.
