V2 bought by Universal

V2 Music Group, founded by Richard Branson, has been bought for a rumoured £7m by Universal Music Group (UMG).

Universal's purchase of V2 comes after the company announced a six-month trial to sell their catalogue without DRM through US e-tailers.

The company have announced they will not be selling their DRM-free music through iTunes.
