Singles release date change?

A proposal to change the release of physical singles from Monday to Friday is being discussed by Universal records.

The record company are looking to find ways of reviving the ailing physical singles market and decrease the gap between digital and physical releases.

Universal have been releasing singles and albums on a variety of formats and have been pushing for USB sticks to become chart eligible.
