New Music Award 2008 short-list announced

The PRS foundation has announced the short-list for its 2008 New Music Award.

The award is aimed at championing pioneering new music by providing funding for the creation of one adventurous and challenging new musical project.

The six nominees have been selected from over 130 entries with the winner to receive £50,000 towards the realisation of the proposed project.

The winner will be announced on Wednesday 9 April.
