Greener Festivals

Greener Festivals, a new initiative to make music festivals more environmentally-friendly has launched today.

To join the voluntary award scheme festival organisers must answer a checklist of sixty questions and commit to its 'A-Z' of green priorities. Examples of the priorities range from ‘Aim for zero waste and leave no trace’ and ‘All car parking charged for as an additional cost’.

Festivals already signed up to Greener Festivals include Glastonbury Festival, Carling Weekend - Leeds and Reading, Latitude Festival, and Download Festival.
