Bee Gee takes on Cisac role
Bee Gee Robin Gibb has been elected President for the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (Cisac).
The singer will be a figurehead for Cisac and represent creative artists around the world.
In this role Robin told BBC News Website that he plans to campaign for a change to copyright laws for musicians in the UK, so that musicians are paid royalties beyond the current 50 years.
Gibb will replace incumbent president Christian Bruhn, who is also president of German authors society Gema.
