BBC announces Maida Vale studio closure

The BBC have announced that they will be closing their Maida Vale studios, famous for hosting the John Peel Sessions.

The company explained that the studios would cost too much to refurbish and they do not believe it is suitable for the '21st Century digital age'.

No plans for a replacement studio have been made.
