PRS for Music appoints John Hywel Morris new Senior Membership Development Manager, Wales

PRS for Music today confirmed the appointment of John Hywel Morris to the position of Senior Membership Development Manager, Wales.

John has been with PRS for Music for nineteen years and the new appointment is a promotion from his previous role as Welsh Membership Development Consultant. John has demonstrated enormous commitment to improving the efficiency and accuracy of royalty collections to Welsh members.  John was also fundamental in securing the first joint-licensing venture between MCPS and PPL.

A musician himself, John will be returning to Wales where the role will be based to support PRS for Music members most effectively, while working with the wider industry to develop new songwriting talent.

quote

John understands the songwriting process, has a deep knowledge of the Welsh music industry and is an expert in the field of music licensing.  He also cares passionately about Welsh composers, songwriters and publishers and their repertoire.  We conducted a rigorous recruitment search both internally and externally, and John’s knowledge was unsurpassed so he was a natural fit for the role.  We are excited at the new opportunities this role will bring.
