PRS for Music to host gigs in new live music showcases

Live Music showcase, 'PRS for Music Presents', to host regular live gigs at PRS for Music’s HQ

Launch event features exclusive headline performance from acclaimed indie quartet ‘Peace’ supported by the PRS for Music Foundation-funded band ‘Boxed In’

PRS for Music, the collecting society that represents 111,000 songwriters, composers and publishers will open its doors on October 27 for the first time since its move, to launch a string of live music events under the banner of ‘PRS for Music Presents’.

‘PRS for Music Presents’ will showcase a limited number of exclusive live performances from its incredible emerging and famed writer members.

The launch for the very first ‘PRS for Music Presents’ showcase will see acclaimed indie rock quartet, Peace headline the night. The BBC ‘Sound Of’ nominees featured in PRS for Music’s first ever cinema ad earlier on in the year and have been compared to the likes of The Maccabees, Foals and Vampire Weekend.

Alongside indie rockers Peace, the showcase will host hypnotic Krautrock pop inspired four-piece Boxed In, who have been funded by the PRS for Music Foundation and have excelled with their unique electronic infused sound. 

The two bands will be first to launch the exclusive ‘PRS for Music Presents’ at the King’s Cross offices with showcases planned bi-monthly for 2016. ‘PRS for Music Presents’ will provide an opportunity to profile PRS members’ amazing talent to licensees, politicians, music industry representatives and indeed a small number of public gig goers.
