New publisher directors at PRS
Jackie Alway (Universal Music Publishing Ltd), William Booth (Sony/ATV & EMI Music Publishing Ltd) and Edwin Cox (West One Music Ltd) were officially elected to the PRS board yesterday. The results were confirmed at the PRS AGM by Chairman Guy Fletcher OBE. Nigel Elderton (Peer Music UK Ltd) and Richard King (Faber Music Ltd) were also re-elected as publisher directors.
Directors Barry Blue, Nicky Graham, Steve Levine, Mitch Murray and Julian Nott were also re-appointed as representatives of the song-writing community.
Speaking to members and guests Guy Fletcher congratulated all directors and gave special thanks to Paulette Long (Westbury Music Ltd) for her service to the society as a publisher director. He outlined the achievements of the year highlighting the success of UK songwriters both at home and abroad as well as the recent changes to the structure of PRS for Music.
