Beachfest Bermuda’s semi finalists revealed

The Beachfest Crown Song Competition has announced the semi-finalists for the next round of the contest in Bermuda

The competition is heating up for PRS for Music and The Chewstick Foundation’s first ever national song competition.  The Beachfest Crown Song Competition has attracted over 50 entries from songwriters vying for the chance to win an impressive prize, including a scooter and studio time worth $10,000.

Candidates who received the most views for their video song on the Beachfest Bermuda YouTube channel have now made it through to the next stage. A staggering 36,000 total views were made in just over two weeks.

The top 10 semi-finalists are:

4. Ray: “Summertime in Bermuda”

7. Quinn Outerbridge: “Run Girl Run”
8. Rivah: “Like I Said”
9. Eminince: “Wait Up”
10. Will B: “Be True”

By texting (441) 500-1836, the public are now being urged to vote for their all-time favourite to win.  Bermudians will be able to catch the exciting group of semi-finalists who will be played throughout the week on Vibe 103, as well as being featured in a TV special on Channel82.  If that wasn’t enough, the semi-finalists will be performing live at the first night of Cup Match Summer Splash. The artists with the most text votes will make it through to the finals which will be announced at the event.

The finalists will perform live at Beachfest on 31 July 2014 at Horseshoe Bay before a prestigious panel of judges, including an international recording artist and local and international music industry professionals.
