Business Process Team Manager, BPR Project

Lee Howell

What do you like most about your job?

The role I am in gives me a great opportunity to work with many different business units within PRS for Music, so I am constantly facing many different challenges and as a result the role is really quite different from day to day. This appeals to me as it means there is no chance I will lose my enthusiasm for the role.

What's the biggest challenge in your job?

The role I am in is the Business Process Re-engineering manager which means one of the biggest challenges my team and I face is constantly looking at improving processes. When dealing with change/improvement, there comes resistance to change. Another challenge that is aligned with resistance to change is the speed at which change is implemented, which can be very frustrating.

What advice would you give someone starting out in the music industry?

My advice would be to try and always constantly look to improve your skill set and move around a bit to try and gain a good overall solid understanding of how things work here at PRS for Music and the music industry as a whole. Working with many different stakeholders is always a good move to gain experience and give yourself more exposure within the organisation.
