Roberto Neri

Roberto Neri

I love music and have spent my life surrounded by it, so to join the music industry in 1999 was a dream come true. I began my career at the then MCPS/PRS Alliance and worked in both the Copyright and Member Services departments for four years looking after key Writer and Publisher accounts.

Having worked closely with many Performing Rights Organisations I believe PRS is one of the world leaders, but there is more we can improve upon and always new challenges. For that reason, I have been a member of the PRS Operational Group for many years and I currently chair the MPA Pop Publishers Committee. I would love to highlight the challenges that both writers and publishers face and help push things forward.

I currently hold the position of Managing Director at Downtown Music UK Limited, overseeing the UK office along with broader global responsibilities. I joined Downtown Music in 2015 as part of the acquisition of Eagle-i Music Ltd.

Prior to Eagle-i Music, I worked for the legendary Bug Music, starting in 2003 as Liaison Manager and soon General Manager. In 2007 Bug purchased the Los Angeles based independent Windswept Music. I was instrumental to the growth of Bug Music UK and to the handling of the integration of Windswept internationally. I was promoted to Vice President of International of Bug Music in 2010. I founded Eagle-i Music Ltd in 2011 and still continue to represent the same talented songwriters at Downtown Music.

I started my management training running a department at John Lewis plus a BA in Business at South Bank University.
