Eric Stewart

Eric Stewart

I joined the PRS in the early 1960s after writing my first ‘B’ side for a Wayne Fontana and The Mindbenders hit called, The Game of Love. A year later I wrote the ‘B’ side for Groovy Kind of Love another worldwide hit by my group, The Mindbenders. I went on from there to start the group Hot Legs with Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme, getting another hit called, Neanderthal Man. We were joined later by Graham Gouldman and changed the group name to 10cc. I co-wrote many hits like I’m Not In Love, The Things We Do For Love, Dreadlock Holiday, all number 1s for us around the World… Plus 10 more UK Top Ten Hits.

I love music, and in my five decade + (so far) career of playing guitar and keyboards, songwriting, singing, building recording studios and engineering and producing records, the making of those five Number 1 Worldwide hit records have been very important milestones for me. I also love designing and building recording studios, engineering, mixing, producing and mastering sound recordings.

I am still writing and am about to release my own anthology album that covers ~30 songs that I have written for my solo projects over the last 20 years. I am also about to release my own biography this year called, coincidentally, Things I Do For Love.

After working on many songs in my 50+ years in the music business with my earlier groups, I have also worked with wonderful people like Paul and Linda McCartney, Agnetha from ABBA, Sad Cafe, Alan Parsons, Neil Sedaka, etc. Things are changing rapidly in our business today especially across the Internet, and I would love to be involved in making sure those changes are for our PRS benefit.
