PRS for Music is home to the world’s best music writers, composers and music publishers.
We exist to collect and pay royalties to our members when their music is used in one of a number of ways – when it is recorded onto any format and distributed to the public, performed or played in public, broadcast or made publicly available online.
On this page you will find online resources to help you learn more about what we do, how songwriters and publishers make money from royalties and how we fit into the wider music industry.
