PRS for Music consultation
Richard Hooper has been appointed to lead a consultation on the role of PRS for Music. The consultation will examine our organisation’s activity, evaluate our performance, and identify any areas where members feel changes can be made.
The consultation will include input from writers, publishers and board members across various musical genres. It will start in late January and run for three months.
A report highlighting the consultation’s key recommendations will be presented to the board once completed. The board will consider the report and decide to act on the findings if necessary.
The consultation will run as an open and transparent process with related information, including issues raised within the consultation groups, being made available to all members in this area of our website.
Previously, Richard Hooper worked as Deputy Chair of Ofcom from 2002 to 2005 and led the Digital Copyright Exchange feasibility review last year. He is currently Chairman of the Independent Review of the Postal Services sector.
